Ms. Pacquing is a research assistant for the department of anesthesia at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. She carries out the daily duties of various studies by recruiting patients, collecting data, and performing study assessments. She is drawn to clinical research because she enjoys the collaboration with various professions, the opportunity to learn and explore the wide range of specialties, and the patient interaction. Working for the department of anesthesia has developed Jessica’s passion for working with patients in a perioperative setting. She aims to work more clinically and will be completing her nursing degree at the University of Toronto. Going forward, Jessica hopes to continue to play a role in developing the future of health care. She is interested in health policy and developing strategies and techniques for health care professionals to use in order to better a patient’s in-hospital experience.
