Research Summary:

Dr. Maralani’s major research activities focus on different applications of advanced MRI techniques in neuro-oncology, particularly in the prediction of outcome for brain and spine tumors. Within this realm, his research is uniquely poised and multidisciplinary, intersecting with radiation oncology, medical oncology, artificial intelligence, as well as the basic sciences.

Dr. Maralani’s work has been supported by several peer-reviewed grants from the Radiology Society of North America, American Society of Neuroradiology, Cancer Research Society of Canada, Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada, and the University of Toronto, among others.
