Research Foci:

Research Summary:

The focus of Dr. Jimenez-Juan’s research is the application of noninvasive advanced imaging techniques to improve the understanding, risk stratification and outcomes of cardiovascular diseases.

She is a recipient of a Research Scholar Grant from the Radiological Society of North America (2017–2019) for her project, “Towards an early detection of coronary artery bypass graft failure: a computational fluid dynamics approach based on cardiac CT and 4D-flow MRI.” This study aims to develop and translate into clinical practice a noninvasive approach to assess graft hemodynamics, and show that hemodynamic parameters obtained from computational simulations can predict future coronary artery bypass graft failure.
