Research Summary:

Dr. Rogers’ research is on acute and reconstructive burn surgery and the management of complex wounds from a variety of aetiologies. He also has an interest in quality improvement and patient safety, surgical education and bioethics.

His current projects include assessing the impact of operative time and hypothermia on outcomes in burn surgery, the effect of tranexamic acid and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories in burn surgery, the timing of tracheostomy in major burn injuries, wound imaging, allograft use in burns and complex wounds, negative pressure wound therapy and antiseptic dressings.
