Dr. Sandra Black
Dr. Sandra Black is the director of the Brain Sciences Research Program at Sunnybrook Research Institute and the Brill Chair in neurology in the department of medicine at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and the University of Toronto. Black has published more than 300 peer-reviewed papers. Her research interests include vascular cognitive impairment, stroke recovery and the use of neuroimaging techniques to understand brain-behaviour relationships in stroke and dementia. Black was recently named to the Order of Ontario. The award is the province's highest honour.
