Dr. Arun Seth
Dr. Arun Seth is a senior scientist in Biological Sciences at Sunnybrook Research Institute (SRI) and a professor in the department of laboratory medicine and pathobiology at the University of Toronto. The aim of Dr. Seth’s research is to advance understanding of the molecular mechanisms of breast and prostate cancer progression and how these cancers spread to other sites in the body. He co-authored a study published in Cancer Research that identified a panel of 24 biomarker genes indicative of aggressive disease. The gene panel proved better than previously identified biomarkers at predicting biochemical disease recurrence. For more on this study click here.
He is also the director of the genomics core facility at SRI.
