I would shake all your hands with sincere gratitude like I did when I met Bill Stedman on September 25, 2017. He felt very lucky to spend his last days at Sunnybrook. I feel truly blessed to have the freedom, our War Heroes like Bill, so selflessly fought to achieve. Thank you!

In our busy world we often forget who it is that gave us the freedoms we enjoy and take for granted. We know that you did not take them for granted, but stepped forward to secure them and ensure that they remain for the generations that will follow. Thank you.
It’s fitting to recognize all your contributions as an RCAF veteran myself who served some 20 years after my father in the same air trade (navigator/bombardier). And to note that we both flew under the same captain!
I thank all those who gave their lives over the years. Your sacrifice was worth the fight.
I have been fortunate to live in a time and place where I have always felt secure. It is your service and personal sacrifice that has enabled this. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and those of my family.
We were both born after the war to fathers who had served overseas and returned unscathed. We are thankful to all who did their bit. Remembrance Day seems to focus on those who did not return. We should have a day to honour those who returned wounded in body and mind.
Thank you to all our Veterans, without your courage, dedication, selflessness and sacrifice we wouldn't be here today enjoying the life and freedom that we do and take for granted. Remembering our Veterans should be everyday, not just on remembrance day. Thank you
Take care
