The Last Salute
2023 marks the 75th anniversary of Sunnybrook’s Bayview campus, which first opened as Sunnybrook Military Hospital in 1948.
To commemorate this important anniversary, a collaborative team led by the Veterans Program created The Last Salute with exquisite photographs of 40 of our Centenarian Veterans by Yuri Dojc and their stories through interviews by Alannah Campbell.
The Last Salute is a beautiful tribute to our World War II Veterans with stories of their courage and sacrifice as well as the love and humour which helped them live such long lives.
The Last Salute includes a beautiful artbook, a virtual photo exhibit and a Remembrance Day video and a live photo exhibit (November 2022).
