eduroam at Sunnybrook

eduroam (education roaming) allows staff and students to access wireless services at any participating institution by logging in with their home institution credentials.

Setup

The eduroam wireless network at Sunnybrook supports WPA2 with AES encryption. A compatible wireless card with up-to-date drivers and patches for your operating system may be required. Detailed setup instructions for supported operating systems are available from the Sunnybrook IS Help Desk.

It is recommended that Sunnybrook staff set up and test their computers prior to travelling to a partner institution. Once it is set up, you will have wireless access to any eduroam-enabled institution in the world. While at Sunnybrook, you should be using Sunnybrook's wireless network (SB_Data).

Appropriate use

Users of the eduroam network must abide by Sunnybrook's Appropriate Use of Information and Communication Technology guidelines as well as any guidelines set out by the home/visiting institution.

Support: Where to get help

Technical support for eduroam will be provided by your home institution. Visitors to Sunnybrook should contact their home institution's IT support for assistance. Sunnybrook staff or students visiting another participating institution should contact the Sunnybrook IS Help Desk.
