We have a team of expert cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, vascular surgeons and cardiac anaesthetists that work together to find some of the world's most innovative ways to treat the heart and damaged blood vessels.
We have performed many Canadian firsts, and we have also found strategies to meet the needs of the aging, complex cardiovascular patient. Our minimally invasive procedures mean shorter hospital stays, less pain and an earlier return to normal activities. In 2010, we performed over 7,000 procedures and close to 80,000 non-invasive tests.
Named in honour of philanthropist and Canadian entrepreneur Mr. Seymour Schulich, the Schulich Heart Centre stands as one of Canada's leading cardiac care centers with an international reputation as a leading-edge provider for the prevention, treatment and care of heart disease.
