Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I need to put my surgery date into SeamlessMD?

SeamlessMD needs to know the date of your surgery so it can give you timed reminders. Based on your surgery date, SeamlessMD will send you pre-surgery reminders. After your surgery, SeamlessMD will begin checking in with you to track your recovery.

My surgery got cancelled and rescheduled. How do I re-start SeamlessMD?

If you are using SeamlessMD app on your phone or Ipad, to change the date of your surgery go to settings and click “Change surgery date”. If you are using SeamlessMD in your web browser, click on “Did your healthcare team change your procedure date?”

If you experience any issues changing your surgery date, contact support@seamless.md for assistance.

Will my surgeon see my questionnaire or survey results?

No. SeamlessMD is not designed to communicate with your surgeon. Its purpose is to help you stay on track in your own recovery. Based on your answers, SeamlessMD will recommend if you need to contact your surgeon. If you have any concerns with your recovery (for examples: increased pain, the wound is not healing), please call your surgeon.

I downloaded SeamlessMD but I haven’t been getting daily reminders. Why?

There could be a few reasons why the daily reminders are not being sent to you. The daily reminders depend on your surgery date. If your surgery is not for a while, SeamlessMD will not start reminding you just yet. It will begin reminding you to get ready for your surgery 28 days before the surgery date you entered when you first signed up.

If your surgery is within the next 28 days, and you are not getting reminders, contact technical support.

If I don’t get SeamlessMD, will it affect my preparation or recovery?

No. Your preparation and recovery will not be harmed if you do not have SeamlessMD. Your pre-operative care and post-operative care, your discussions with your care team and your Patient Guide give you all the information you need to get ready and recover from your surgery. SeamlessMD is like a “buddy” to check in with you and is another way for you to keep track of your recovery.

My wound looks really red. What should I do?

If you are worried about your wound or your recovery, you should call your surgeon.

I want to stop using SeamlessMD. How do I turn it off?

Please go to ‘Account Settings’ and click ‘Request account deletion’ to have your account closed within 1 business day, or make a request via email.

I had surgery a while ago, and had already opened an account. I am returning for a second surgery. I logged in and my account still has my past information. What should I do to make it work for my new surgery?

Please email technical support to have your existing account archived so that you can create a new account using your same email address.

I am using the SeamlessMD mobile version, and the online version. Does my information get same-time updated on both?

Yes.
