Clinics & Clinical Care
We are a multidisciplinary team with diverse specialties, including drug safety, adverse drug events, toxicology, pharmacoepidemiology, geriatric pharmacology and cardiovascular risk and prevention.
We provide inpatient clinical consultation on matters involving drugs and toxins. Most consultations involve known or suspected adverse drug reactions, guidance regarding a prior history of drug allergy, drug desensitization, drug overdose or therapeutic drug monitoring. Over the past five years, the number of consults seen by the division has grown considerably.
Our members collaborate often with the divisions of Psychiatry, Anesthesiology and the Patient Safety Service.

Drug Allergy Clinic (Adverse Drug Reactions)
Our multidisciplinary clinic is recognized as one of the world leaders and is unique in Canada for providing comprehensive assessments for patients of suspected adverse drug reactions (including allergies).
We evaluate, diagnose and manage patients with suspected or confirmed adverse drug reactions and provide clinical guidance regarding future drug therapy. In selected patients, drug-specific testing is arranged and performed at the clinic.
All patients are seen by referral only. Please fax referrals to 416-480-5229.
