Clinics & Clinical Care

The Division provides inpatient and outpatient consultations in infectious diseases. Consultations are provided for patients of all hospital programs and departments. The Division sees, on average, approximately 1,200 new inpatient consultations and approximately 800 new outpatient consultations annually.

Members of the Division play a leading role in the hospital’s Antibiotic Stewardship Program, and are also actively involved with the hospital’s Infection Prevention and Control service.

HIV Ambulatory Clinic

The multidisciplinary HIV ambulatory clinic provides care for patients with HIV-related infectious diseases, as well as management of HIV-related renal and endocrine disorders in addition to nursing, social work and nutritional counseling.

Infectious Disease clinic

Our Infectious Disease clinics are for the diagnosis and treatment of patients with a variety of infectious diseases, not related to HIV.

This typically includes patients with tuberculosis, bone and joint infections, skin and soft tissue infections, urinary tract infections, pneumonia, surgical wound infections, sexually transmitted infections, fungal infections, and infections acquired during travel.

Intravenous Antibiotic Therapy (IVAT) Clinic

This clinic is for people who get their antibiotics through an IV line and are not in hospital. Learn more »
