Research & Clinical Trials

Our research areas are focused on improving function for individuals with disabilities due to a variety of neurologic and musculoskeletal conditions. This includes research on better ways to help amputees improve mobility, best ways to improve function after severe thermal and electrical burns, ways to better predict outcome after coma, and studying the influence of early rehabilitation on outcomes.

We also have clinical trials ongoing for treatment of spasticity (muscle tightness after stroke or brain injury) and studies of alternative and complementary approaches to musculoskeletal injuries.
