The Holland Centre is one of the largest hip and knee joint replacement centres in Canada. It is the first government-designated Hip and Knee Centre of Excellence in Canada.
The Perioperative Program at the Holland Centre completes more than 2,200 annual total joint (hip and knee) replacement procedures, in addition to supporting ambulatory procedures (spine, hands/plastics, upper extremity, lower extremity, and AV fistulas) and programs (WSIB).
The team comprises of surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses, and allied health professionals. Patients are generally discharged same-day or have short postoperative stays.
The team at Holland Centre are focused on pain management and utilizing regional anesthesia strategies to provide patients with the best post-operative outcomes and mobility functionality.
