Surgical Short Stay Unit (SSSU)

This 14-bed ward designed to accept post-operative patients with an expected length of stay of one to two days. This procedure driven unit accepts over 100 different procedures from 10 different surgical specialties and will continue to expand to better serve the needs of patients. The Surgical Nurses who staff this unit are highly skilled and specifically trained to care for each procedure. The team is further strengthened by the support of our Allied Health Professionals including Physiotherapists and Pharmacists. Collectively, the team is able to offer patients the optimal care experience.
