The RAAM Model
A Rapid Access Addiction Medicine (RAAM) clinic is an easy-to-access walk-in clinic where patients with a substance use disorder can get help without an appointment or formal referral. RAAM clinics provide short-term medical addiction care including pharmacotherapy, brief counselling, and referrals to community services. The only medications that are prescribed are those that treat withdrawal or reduce cravings for the substance used.
