About our program

Changes due to COVID-19

Sunnybrook is taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of our patients and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. This means changes to our visitor guidelines and screening for symptoms at the door.

Attention patients:

COVID-19 is affecting deliveries around the world, including deliveries of medication to hospitals. Orders may be delayed or incomplete.

If you need to come to the hospital for care, please bring your medications with you. We want to avoid potential interruptions and unnecessary changes to the medications you take.

An up-to-date list of your medications is also very helpful. If you have one, please bring it with you as well.

We have a team of expert cardiac surgeons, cardiologists, vascular surgeons and cardiac anaesthetists that work together to find some of the world's most innovative ways to treat the heart and damaged blood vessels.

We have performed many Canadian firsts, and we have also found strategies to meet the needs of the aging, complex cardiovascular patient. Our minimally invasive procedures mean shorter hospital stays, less pain and an earlier return to normal activities.

Named in honour of philanthropist and Canadian entrepreneur Mr. Seymour Schulich, the Schulich Heart Centre stands as one of Canada's leading cardiac care centres with an international reputation as a leading-edge provider for the prevention, treatment and care of heart disease.
