Treatment Plan

  • If you are not following your treatment plan, the team will talk with you to find out why
  • We will try to work out a new treatment plan that you think you can follow and that we think will still be helpful
  • If we are unable to agree on a new treatment plan, our program will unlikely be able to help you further, in which case we will discharge you from the program

Rules & Expectations

  • If you are not following the rules and expectations of the program, the treatment team will talk with you to find out why
  • We will try to work out a solution so that you are able to follow the rules and expectations of the program
  • Your privileges may be altered if we have concerns about how safely and responsibly you have been acting
  • If you continue to be unable or unwilling to follow the rules and expectations of the program, we will have to consider discharging you from the program
  • If by not following certain rules and expectations you are risking the health and safety of yourself or anyone else, we may have to remove you immediately from the ward. This may involve admission to the PICU or immediate discharge from hospital
    Actions that may have to be handled this way include:
    • Violence and threats
    • Suicidal or self-harm behaviour
    • Sexual behaviour
    • Drug and alcohol use or possession
