Dr. Calvin Law is the Chief of the Odette Cancer Program, one of North America’s largest and most innovative cancer programs, where he leads a team pursuing new forms of radiation technologies to provide individualized precision care to patients. A renowned researcher, educator and surgical oncologist, Dr. Law also helped develop the first-in-the-world integration of a hands-free imaging system in the operating room using Microsoft Kinect.

Speakers

Dr. Rossanna Pezo, a medical oncologist at the Odette Cancer Program, is focused on investigating therapeutics to create a personalized approach to treat breast cancer and melanoma.

Dr. Arjun Sahgal, Director of the Cancer Ablation Therapy Program at the Odette Cancer Program, will share how Sunnybrook is transforming cancer treatment using the MR-Linac. This machine combines radiation and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to target tumors with unprecedented precision.

William Tran, a radiation therapist clinician scientist at the Odette Cancer Program, and Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at the University of Toronto. His team is leading the way in precision medicine and the use of artificial intelligence in breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. He will explain how he uses radiogenomics, novel imaging and predictive modeling to create personalized treatment plans.
