Jamaican PM: partnership with Sunnybrook
On May 15, Sunnybrook staff met with Jamaican Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller.
Discussions centred on collaboration and partnership in areas of cancer, trauma and emergency care, patient and adolescent care, as well as equipment exchange and the training of doctors and nurses.
The Prime Minister welcomed the collaboration, which she believes is critical to Jamaica's enhanced health care system. The meeting was held at the Office of the Prime Minister. Miller lauded the move, noting that this would further strengthen the longstanding relationship between Jamaica and Canada.
