December 1, 2020

Sunnybrook’s Dr. Paige Church has been named as one of Canada's Most Powerful Women by Women’s Executive Network. The award recognizes outstanding women across Canada who advocate for workforce diversity and inspire tomorrow’s leaders.

As the Medical Director of Sunnybrook’s Neonatal Follow-Up Clinic, Dr. Church was noted as a professional who “plays a leadership role within her organization.” Dr. Church was the first person to complete dual training in Neonatal Perinatal Medicine and Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics.

In 2017, Dr. Church shared her personal health journey in JAMA Pediatrics.

“Paige not only continually puts patients first but has expanded the conversation on what it means to live with a disability,” says Dr. Art Zaltz, Medical Director of the DAN Women & Babies Program. “This award recognizes the empathetic and compassionate care she provides to children and their families, the advocacy role she plays for anyone living with a disability and the role she plays in mentoring the next generation of health care providers.”
