Sunnybrook caring for patient with potential Ebola Virus Disease

This evening, we accepted a patient with a recent travel history to West Africa. The patient was transferred to us from Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie. While this is a low risk case, our team in the Emergency Department is taking all necessary precautions, and they are confident and ready to triage and treat this patient.

Sunnybrook has spent months planning and preparing to receive a patient with potential Ebola Virus Disease.
