Update: Road Work Delays and Closures along Raab Blvd

Raab Blvd will be closed on Monday, July 17 and Tuesday, July 18 for the full day, and into the evening, to allow for road work and paving.

Please expect delays, as well as:

• Raab Boulevard will be closed to traffic between Wellness Way and Veteran Hills Trail. We encourage use of Armistice Dr. or Life Saving Dr. to go around using Raab Blvd.
• Access to Parking Garage 2 will be through the north side entrance/exit (on Armistice Drive)
• Entry to Parking Garage 1 will be via one of the ramps by the main hospital entrance. Exits are not affected
• Parking lots 18 and 19will not be accessible, and passholders will be given access to Garage 1 and Garage 2 for Monday, July 17 and Tuesday, July 18
• The visitors parking lot in front of H wing will not be available
• Bus traffic will be temporarily re-routed: Bus stops in front of M, K and L-wings will be relocated to A-wing and
• Wheel-Trans will be accessible at M-wing drop off only, as access to services at L-wing, H-wing, and K-wing will be unavailable.
• Shuttle bus pickup and drop off will be impacted, the pick-up and drop off area will be moved to M-wing.
• Sidewalks and Door access will not be impacted by this road work.
• The passenger drop off/pick up zone for the Veterans Centre will be at the main L-wing entrance.

The delays and closures may be extended and change based on progress and weather. Updates will be issued.

Noise:

Please be aware there will be some noise in line with typical road construction. On Monday, July 17 and Tuesday, July 18 the road work will go for a full day and into the evening, to allow for paving and the repainting of the road lines.

Why this work is being done:

The road, curbs and sidewalks on Raab Blvd are in need of repairs to ensure the grounds are safe to navigate.
