Dr. Cass has also been Deputy Chief Coroner for Ontario and was the former Chief of Emergency Medicine at St. Michael’s Hospital. He was a staff emergency physician at St. Michael's for 16 years, and has practiced Addiction Medicine while at St. Joseph's.
Dr. Dan Cass, appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Executive of Sunnybrook.
He has led large-scale change initiatives, including the merger of two emergency departments and the design and construction of a new department, and helped lead the planning and implementation of one of the most successful computerized provider order entry systems in Canada.
Throughout his career, Dr. Cass has maintained a strong focus on quality and patient safety, with a specific emphasis on enhancing access to timely emergency care.
