The Fifth Annual Schulich Awards for Clinical Excellence

March 26, 2007

Sunnybrook has thousands of dedicated employees who go above and beyond their role each and every day and personify the hospital values of excellence, collaboration, accountability, respect and empowerment. You know who they are and this is your chance to honour their work and dedication.

Generously funded by Dr. Seymour Schulich, the awards recognize 10 permanent part-time or permanent full-time employees who work in the areas of diagnostic, therapeutic and direct clinical patient care and three fourth-year graduating medical students who demonstrate clinical and academic excellence.

The Schulich Awards give patients, family members or staff an opportunity to nominate an individual who is a role model to others, has a special love for those they care for and is generous beyond their means. Taking patient care to the next level, it is their precision, sensitivity and attention to detail that set them apart.

Nominate an individual who:

  • Goes above and beyond their usual role
  • Demonstrates the values of Sunnybrook
  • Promotes and emphasizes the attributes of patient-focused care, women’s health and aging
  • Demonstrates a commitment to clinical teaching and mentoring
  • Pursues educational opportunities for personal development and shares new knowledge to facilitate teamwork and collaboration
  •  Demonstrates leadership and acts as a role model for others

The closing date for nominations is April 20, 2007.

When all of the submissions have been collected a multidisciplinary selection panel will review all nominations to select the award recipients. Successful recipients will be honoured and presented an award at a reception this spring.
