Sunnybrook COVID-19 brain imaging study featured on The New Reality
Dr. Simon Graham, senior scientist, Sunnybrook Research Institute is featured on a recent Global News program called The New Reality, highlighting a Sunnybrook study that is investigating the possible impacts of COVID-19 on the brain.
"The virus might impact the brain in certain people impairing their activities of daily living,” says Dr. Graham, the study’s principal investigator.
Dr. Graham and team, along with collaborators at Baycrest are investigating the short-term and long-term neurological impact of COVID-19 through the use of clinical assessments and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the brain in patients who have recovered fro COVID-19 as well as individuals who have tested negative for the virus.
