Laparoscopic Hysterectomy
What can I expect?
- Some soreness around any incision site.
- You will have light vaginal bleeding for 2-4 weeks. It should be scant brown or pinkish fluid. Do not use tampons.
- You will no longer be having menstrual periods.
- You may have shoulder/neck pain because of the air inserted into your abdominal cavity during the operation. This should go away as you begin your normal activities. This may last about 2-3 days and is not dangerous.
- You may experience feelings of sadness and slight depression of mood after this type of operation.
