When Should I Call My Doctor?

  • If you have swelling, redness, or soreness of your incision(s).
  • If you have a large amount of blood or fluid leaking from your incision(s).
  • If you have a large amount of vaginal bleeding (changing 1-2 pads per hour).
  • If you have a sudden increase in vaginal blood flow, blood clots, or foul-smelling vaginal discharge.
  • If you have any sudden or severe pain, or vomiting.
  • If you have difficulty or pain while urinating (emptying your bladder).
  • If your temperature is 38°C (100.4°F) or higher for 24 hours.
  • If you have symptoms of depression that are severe enough to interfere with your daily routine.

IF, FOR ANY REASON, YOU CANNOT REACH YOUR DOCTOR, GO TO THE LOCAL EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT.
