Last week, Sunnybrook hosted our fourth annual Feast for the Ancestors. The ceremony, led by Leonard Benoit, Indigenous Health and Partnerships Lead, is an opportunity for participants to honour and connect with their ancestors around a sacred fire.

On October 30, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre was proud to welcome the Royal Canadian Legion Ontario Command for the presentation of the province’s first poppy. The Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, the Honorable Edith Dumont, was joined by Veterans and staff from the Sunnybrook Veterans Centre, alongside a group of students from the Toronto French School, for the annual ceremony.

On July 30, the Sunnybrook Veterans Centre hosted was the scene of the inaugural 100+ Club celebration, honouring residents aged 100 and older, including one resident who is a remarkable 107 years old.
