Thursday, September 29, 2022 Veterans Program spotlight: Creative Arts Therapies
Through engagement in music, art and horticulture, creative arts therapies have been shown to improve the well-being and quality of life of our residents – providing residents with opportunities to interact with fellow Veterans, help achieve physical and cognitive goals, and reduce isolation – particularly during the pandemic. Creative art therapies create a space for our residents to express themselves and explore their current abilities and interests.

After the pandemic was declared in 2020, while families were unable to visit, volunteers created and wrote thousands of greeting cards for residents and patients, reminding them they were thought of and remembered.
