Universal masking now required in patient areas

Toronto is entering respiratory illness season where influenza, COVID, RSV and other viruses are expected to circulate in our community. In response to this increase in respiratory illness, Sunnybrook has implemented universal masking in some areas of the hospital.

Effective November 18, 2025, masking is required in patient rooms, waiting areas and treatment spaces.

Masks are available to all patients and visitors at our front entrances and in clinic spaces.
