First Sunnybrook Veterans receive COVID-19 vaccine

Today, Sunnybrook began administering the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine to residents of our Veterans Centre — the largest Veterans' care facility in Canada.

The first two recipients said they were excited to be part of this historic moment:

• Richard Ratcliffe, 92 years old, served with the Royal Canadian Navy during the Korean War and Cold War.
• Stanley Dinney, 98 years old, served with the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II.

The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine will be administered in two doses, given 21 days apart.
