Dr. Calvin Law appointed new Vice-President of Education at Sunnybrook
Sunnybrook Health Science Centre is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Calvin Law as the new Vice-President of Education. Dr. Law's impressive academic and professional background positions him as an exemplary leader to drive Sunnybrook's educational mission forward.
The appointment of Dr. Law as the new Vice President of Education comes after an extensive search process. Dr. Law's distinguished academic and professional background, including his MD from the University of Toronto, General Surgery Training at McMaster University, Masters in Public Health from Harvard, and a Surgical Oncology fellowship at the University of Toronto, makes him an ideal leader for this role.
Dr. Law's extensive clinical and research expertise includes his role as a surgical staff member at Sunnybrook and his position as an adjunct scientist at the Institute of Clinical Evaluative Sciences. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Toronto, with a cross-appointment to the Department of Health Policy, Management, and Evaluation. In addition to his academic and clinical roles, Dr. Law just completed a 10-year team as the Chief of the Odette Cancer Centre and the Regional Vice President of Ontario Health (Cancer Care Ontario).
Dr. Law brings a distinguished career and unwavering dedication to advancing education and research, making him an exemplary candidate for the Vice-President of Education role. His leadership will play a pivotal role in shaping strategic initiatives, enhancing student learning experiences, and fostering collaboration with over 30 prestigious educational institutions.
