Sunnybrook seeks feedback to improve wayfinding
Navigating a large hospital can be challenging. That’s why Sunnybrook has launched a project to improve wayfinding across its campuses.
The project has included a site audit of the Bayview, Holland and St. John’s Rehab campuses. Planning and design are underway, with implementation set to roll out in phases, starting at the Bayview campus. Early improvements will focus on:
- Exterior and interior signage to improve destination and landmark identification
- Graphics along major corridors on Levels Ground and 1
- Clear entry zone markers near elevators across all levels and zones
These changes aim to improve navigation and accessibility for everyone at Sunnybrook.
We are inviting patients, visitors and staff to take a short, visual survey that lets participants explore early concepts and share what feels most relevant and reflective of their experience at Sunnybrook.
The survey has 14 questions and takes about 10 minutes to complete. Feedback will help make sure the final design reflects the needs of people who come to Sunnybrook.
The deadline to submit the Improving Sunnybrook’s Wayfinding Program Survey is 5 p.m. on August 29, 2025.
