In the media: Dr. Rachel Mitchell on the risk of suicide among young girls in Canada

Dr. Rachel Mitchell, child and youth psychiatrist, is the lead author of a new study published in the Canadian Journal of Psychiatry, that has found an increase in the suicide rate among younger girls, 10 to 14 years old, in Canada (2009-2018).

Dr. Mitchell was recently featured in a story on CBC’s The National, World Report, and a CBC online digital feature story.

She continued to highlight her team’s research and was also interviewed by OMNI TV in British Columbia for a story which aired on OMNI Punjabi.
