The Buzz 2010

May 10, 2010

Nicholas and Alexandra Morales, students of Our Lady of Peace Elementary in Maple, are cutting their hair and raising funds to help Sunnybrook.

Nicolas, a grade five student, and his sister Alexandra, in grade two, have decided to cut their long curly hair and donate it to the Angel Hair Foundation. This organization provides wigs to financially disadvantaged children who have lost their hair as a result of different medical treatments. Nicolas & Alexandra would like to make a difference for those affected by illness, in honour of their mother who passed away four years ago from lymphoma.

Their teachers at Our Lady of Peace are hosting a rally at the school to raise awareness of their cause, and a final assembly to watch Nicolas and Alexandra cut their hair in front of the whole school body. Their goal is to raise a total of $5000.00 in support of Sunnybrook Foundation.

Help Nicholas & Alexandra reach their goal of $5000.
