Relay For Life at Sunnybrook Park raises $307,000 to date

June 20, 2011

The 2011 Relay For Life in Toronto Central is over but you can still pledge a participant or make a donation.

On the weekend of June 17, 2011, the Canadian Cancer Society's Relay For Life in Toronto Central took place for the first time at Sunnybrook Park, and raised $307,000 to date.

Participants can continue to collect pledges over the next month. All proceeds will fund cancer research and prevention programs at Sunnybrook's Odette Cancer Centre.

More than 700 participants took part in this year's Relay For Life at Sunnybrook Park. They celebrated cancer survivors, remembered loved ones lost to cancer, and fought back against this terrible disease in the hope of finding a cure.

This marked a successful and important partnership between the Canadian Cancer Society and Sunnybrook, who have teamed up in the FIGHT against cancer.
