New OB hot phone

December 19, 2012

A maternal fetal medicine specialist will take your calls from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday on those borderline cases that are not emergencies but require careful consultation on next diagnostic steps. To obtain the telephone number, call 416-480-6100 and ask for the special hot phone available to physicians only.

We offer a unique clinic for high-risk maternity patients, including integrated maternal fetal medicine, diagnostic imaging and fetal diagnostic unit – all in a new facility on our Bayview Campus.

Having recently been granted approval from the Ontario government to expand our high-risk obstetrics clinic, we have postnatal care for premature infants in a Level 3 NICU with long-term family support and follow up – we are the only facility in Toronto that follows children until age six.

A dedicated team of maternal fetal medicine specialists and nurse practitioners will guide your patients through a high-risk or complicated pregnancy. We have accurate, non-invasive diagnostic, procedures and treatment services.

Sunnybrook ranked first among 25 tertiary level NICUs in Canada in composite outcomes of death, chronic lung disease, nosocomial infections, severe intracranial hemorrhage and retinopathy of prematurity.
