Endocrinology

Dr. Judy Qiang,  MD FRCPC.

Dr. Judy Qiang is a Clinician in Quality and Innovation in the division of Endocrinology. After completing a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Pennsylvania with summa cum laude, she completed medical school, Internal Medicine, and Endocrinology and Metabolism training at the University of Toronto.

She serves on several committees including the Banting and Best Diabetes Centre Quality Education and Safety Committee, and the University of Toronto Endocrinology Quality Improvement committee. Judy is involved in several Quality Improvement initiatives with a focus on diabetes care. She is also an active member of the Canadian Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism Guideline Committee and critically reviews and disseminates guidelines.

Dr. Qiang is passionate about improving the lives of thyroid cancer patients. She was the recipient of the Canadian Institute of Health Research (CIHR) Fellowship Award and the Peter Gilgan Centre for Women’s Cancer Research Award in 2021 for her work examining thyroid cancer recurrence and cardiovascular disease in thyroid cancer survivors.

Dr. Qiang has a growing practice at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, with a focus in diabetes and thyroid disease. She is fluent in Mandarin and is accepting referrals in general Endocrinology.
