Research Summary:
Dr. Tobe is now engaged with the Northern Ontario School of Medicine to facilitate research in rural and Aboriginal communities based on the principles of social accountability.
Dr. Tobe's research is focused on improving the lives of people with or at risk of developing kidney disease by focusing on the prevention, diagnosis and control of hypertension. Current projects include the relationship of stress and its management and hypertension, microalbuminuria and hypertension, and renal vascular disease.
