Education:
Dr. Eric Cohen received his BSc from University of Toronto in mathematics and computer science, followed by his MD from the University of Calgary. After further training at McGill University and a year of general practice in Northern Ontario, he trained in general and interventional cardiology at the University of Toronto.

Interests and Expertise:
- Coronary intervention for acute and stable ischemic heart disease
- Structural heart intervention, especially catheter-based repair and replacement of the mitral valve
- Policy development for delivery of and access to advanced cardiac services
- Education – CME for cardiovascular specialists, and skills acquisition for interventional cardiologists (nationally and internationally)
Academic activities:
Dr. Cohen remains actively involved in teaching and clinical research related to interventional cardiology, and has authored or co-authored more than 95 peer-reviewed publications. In recent years, he has served on safety monitoring committees for several large international clinical trials.
