Clinical Profile:
Over the past 20 years, Sue has worked in the DAN Women & Babies Program at Sunnybrook. In her role as Advanced Practice Nurse, she develops and revises breastfeeding standards of care and policies and procedures that guide the practice of both lactation consultants and nurses. Sue also assists nurses in developing breastfeeding plans for women and their infants who have more challenging breastfeeding situations during their hospital stay. She has a special interest in promoting, supporting and protecting breastfeeding in vulnerable groups like infants of diabetic mothers.
