Welcome

We provide maxillofacial and dental services to hospital inpatients and a large medically compromised outpatient population.

We lead in:

• oral and maxillofacial surgery
• oral medicine and pathology
• general dental care for medically complex patients
• outpatient deep sedation/anesthesia for patients with special needs (for example, mentally challenged patients, patients with cerebral palsy or dementia) 
• geriatric dental care
  

Our areas of expertise include surgical and non-surgical management of oral and maxillofacial diseases and disorders, maxillofacial reconstruction and dental care for medically complex patients who cannot safely access care in a community dental practice. The Department provides essential dental  services for patients of a number of Sunnybrook's strategic programs, most notably the Odette Cancer Program; Trauma, Emergency and Critical Care; and the Veterans and Community Program
