About melanoma care

Our Melanoma care team focuses on the care of patients diagnosed with, or suspected of having, malignant melanoma.

We provide optimal, evidence-based treatment and symptom control through surgery, radiation therapy and chemotherapy. We also provide more unique and highly specialized surveillance and prevention services for patients considered at high risk for developing melanoma.

How we lead

We lead in evidence-based best practices and standards, surgical treatments, state-of-the-art radiation therapy, and novel drug therapies through national and international clinical trials. We also provide patients the opportunity to see on the same visit, dermatology-dermatopathology, radiation oncology and plastic surgery specialists.

For prevention and surveillance of high-risk patients, we are one of only a few cancer centres in Canada providing a digital photography program to monitor high-risk lesions.
