Histology

The histology facility at Sunnybrook Research Institute (SRI) is a full-service support lab that is equipped with an automated tissue processor, autostainer, embedding station, motorized microtome, cryomicrotome and vibratome.

It offers paraffin services to the SRI community as well as to investigators from external institutions.

Services include the following:

• processing
• decalcification
• paraffin embedding
• sectioning
• routine staining
• special staining
• cryosectioning
• vibratoming

Work is performed on a fee-for-service basis.
