The clinic offers physically accessible space and mobility aid equipment, such as:

- Accessible washrooms
- Accessible birthing suite to accommodate multiple mobility aid devices

- Height adjustable stretchers
- Step stool
- Hoyer lift
We encourage and welcome your attendants and support persons during appointments. Attendant service can also be arranged for you.
What to expect during your first visit
Once your appointment is booked, you will receive a call from the nurse prior to your first appointment at the clinic. The purpose of this phone call is for us to learn more about you and how we can best facilitate your needs during your appointments.
We will ask whether assistive equipment may be needed for your appointment, and we will arrange this accordingly. Please feel free to ask questions. We want your visit to the clinic to be a positive experience.
We welcome your attendants and/or support people.
The clinic is located in the M-wing, 4th floor, within the high-risk obstetrics clinic. Our ultrasound department is in the same location as the clinic. Appointments are scheduled with extra time to allow for transfers and are performed by an experienced sonographer.
Upon arrival
Please check-in for your ultrasound. Once you’re checked in, wait for the ultrasound sonographer to call you in for your ultrasound. After your ultrasound, please let the staff at the front reception desk know your ultrasound is complete and they will check you in for the accessible care pregnancy clinic.
