Seizure Disorders

Clinic Scope

The clinic is focused on helping gain control over a person’s seizure disorder. Our fellowship-trained epilepsy specialist has extensive experience in managing a wide variety of seizure disorders. Persons with drug-resistant epilepsy, post-traumatic epilepsy, women with epilepsy planning pregnancy, and questions of driver fitness will be prioritized.

We have access to routine, sleep-deprived and prolonged video-EEG monitoring, epilepsy protocol MRI, and SPECT imaging to improve diagnostic accuracy. The clinic operates on a model of providing one-time consultations with recommendations sent back to the referring MD for non-epileptic cases, and for referrals from outside of the GTA. Longitudinal in-person care is offered for patients within the GTA. Priority is given to referrals from within the catchment area of the hospital and for those not already followed by an epilepsy specialist.
