About skin cancer care

Our skin care team focuses on non-melanoma skin cancers including: basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and other more rare forms of skin cancer.

Skin cancer comes in various forms. Basal cell and squamous cell are two of the most common types, and the level of severity depends on how deep the cancer is within the skin.

How we lead

We lead in evidence-based best practices and standards, surgical treatments, state-of-the-art radiation therapy, and novel drug therapies through national and international clinical trials. We also provide patients the opportunity to see on the same visit, dermatology-dermatopathology, radiation oncology and plastic surgery specialists.

For prevention and surveillance of high-risk patients, we are one of only a few cancer centres in Canada providing a digital photography program to monitor high-risk lesions.
