Student/Field Placements

St. John's Rehab provides clinical training toward diploma, undergraduate and graduate degrees in a collaborative environment committed to scholarly inquiry. Our regulated health professionals provide rich learning opportunities for students in their respective disciplines and many hold status appointments at the University of Toronto.

We recognize field placement is an important component of professional education. As a student, you will receive opportunities for skill development and knowledge enhancement through clinical observation, demonstration and direct patient care. Our goal is to provide a clinical environment which will prepare you for future professional practice.

How do I apply for a student placement?

All regulated disciplines at St. John's Rehab Hospital have an Academic Specialist or discipline contact who is responsible for coordinating clinical placements and linking with our academic partners to develop and implement educational opportunities. We ask that all requests for placements be first directed to the Faculty Liaison or Placement Coordinator at your academic institution, who will then contact us regarding the placement process.

If you are interested in a non-clinical internship please contact the department you are interested in for more information.
